St. Andrew’s Night and Christmas Ceilidh celebrates Scotland’s patron saint. He was revered in Scotland from around 1000 AD, but didn’t become the official patron saint of Scotland until the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320. St. Andrew is the patron saint of the Order of the Thistle, one of the highest ranks of chivalry in the world. We celebrate this day as our holiday party.
This event will host a piper during the meet and greet, a Scottish buffet dinner, the infamous knobby knees contest, as well as a silent auction and photo booth. Live music will be played with our local band. This is an opportunity for Alaskan Scottish Club members and non member to enjoy the evening with music, delicious food and friendship.
